Horse Gram Soup Recipe and Benefits

Served person: 2 (2 cups of each 200 ml)

Serving time: 11 am, 12.30 pm (before, lunch), 3.30 pm


  • Horse gram: 100 grams washed
  • Tomato: 2 medium-sized
  • Small onion: 10 peeled cloves
  • Garlic: 4 peeled cloves
  • Jeera: ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper: ½ teaspoon
  • Dhaniya seeds: ½ teaspoon
  • Curry leaves: one strand
  • Salt: as needed


Add all this in a pressure cooker like one pot recipe. Add 400 ml of water. Wait for 5 whistles. Once the pressure goes off, stain the cooked ones and allow them to cool. Grind them to a fine paste. Heat the cooked and stained liquid in the cooker. Add the ground paste into the cooker and stir well to get an even consistency. Finally, your Horse Gram soup is ready. Now, you can serve hot with coriander leaves.
