Healthy Bottle Gourd Gravy
Serving Person: 2 (1 cup each)
Serving Time: For lunch (along with rice or chapati)
Ingredients:
- Bottle gourd: 1/4 Kg (Peeled and chopped small)
- Curd: 1 cup
- Dhoor dal: 1 teaspoon
- Jeera: ½ teaspoon
- Dhaniya: ½ teaspoon
- Pepper: 10 seeds
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Ginger: small (sized as 1 garlic clove)
- Coconut: 2 teaspoons grated
- Curry leaves: 1 strand
- Oil: 2 teaspoons
- Mustard seeds: 1/4 teaspoon
- Dry chili: 1
- Salt: as needed
Preparation
Half boil the chopped bottle gourd with needed salt. Grind dhoor dal, Jeera, dhaniya, pepper, garlic, ginger and coconut to a fine paste. In a kadai, add oil and heat. Add mustard seeds and wait till it splatters. Add curry leaves. Add that ground fine paste with some water. Allow them to boil till the raw smell goes off. Now, add half boiled bottle gourd. Allow to boil for 5 min. Finally, allow to cool the fully cooked bottle gourd gravy and add curd. Now your bottle gourd curd gravy is ready to serve along hot rice.
